The excitement of the FIFA World Cup coming to North America in 2026 is already building — and with it, hotel demand across Western Canada is set to surge. To help travelers still experience the Rockies in comfort, Rocky Mountaineer has launched a limited-time route: Passage to the Peaks.
Operating in June and July 2026, this journey connects Banff/Lake Louise and Jasper via Kamloops — offering the first-ever direct rail link between these two iconic mountain towns. Along the way, guests will enjoy views of Castle Mountain, Pyramid Falls, and Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
This special routing was created to work around hotel shortages while still delivering the same world-class experience — glass-domed coaches, gourmet meals, and exceptional onboard service.
