Rocky Mountaineer has unveiled a major update to its celebrated U.S. route: Rockies to the Red Rocks has been reimagined as Canyon Spirit. With a new name, new service levels, and a new extension to Salt Lake City, this journey through the American Southwest has never been more exciting.
Canyon Spirit connects Denver, Moab, Glenwood Springs, and now Salt Lake City — combining world-class rail service with striking landscapes of red rock canyons, desert rivers, and sunsets that seem to last forever.
Two service classes let guests tailor their experience:
- Signature Experience — panoramic dome coaches, gourmet dining, and storytelling from
onboard Hosts. - Premier Upgrade — all that plus added comforts and exclusive extras.
I was invited to experience the inaugural run of this new route, and it’s every bit as breathtaking as it sounds. From the sandstone cliffs outside Moab to the skyline of Salt Lake City, this is the U.S. Rockies like you’ve never seen them.
